This guide is available online on our site, alternatively you can download it from
Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

On the Day of the Test
|
- When you go for the test—written or oral— take the following documents with you:.
- The original documents you submitted with your application (personal identification, immigration documents, etc.—for a complete list, see Becoming a Citizen—How to Apply.)
- Any passport or travel documents relevant to the four years before your application
- Arrive at the Test center atleast 15 minutes before your test begins or as
been advised.
- Remember that the test is a series of 20 questions based on 'A Look at Canada' handbook. You will
have 30 minutes to answer 20 questions. You need to correct atleast 12 questions
which means the maximum number of wrong answers you can have is 8.
- If you pass the test and the citizenship judge determines that you meet all of the other requirements for citizenship,
you will be invited to a citizenship ceremony. During that ceremony,
you will take the oath of citizenship and receive a certificate of Canadian citizenship.
- It's a good idea not to tell your friends and relatives about the acutual test
date, which will avoid any unncecessary tensions about 'how to face the
calls from your friends and relatives if you fail'.
